Bubbly Blackberry Mocktail

Happy 2023! If you’re doing Dry January this year and you’re bored already, never fear. I’ve got some fantastic mocktails coming to the blog this month! First up, the Bubbly Blackberry Mocktail!

Blackberries are one of my favorite fruits. I eat them weekly. They’re low in calories and sugar with only 62 calories per cup. They are also high in fiber and other nutrients. They[‘re high in VIatmins C & K. They may help boost your immune health, reduce inflammation leading to diseqases such as cancer and heart disease, and may even improve brain health. What’s not to love about these little powerhouse fruits?!

This mocktail makes a quick syrup using the blackberries, some fresh basil & honey. Top it with either Lime or Plain Sparkling Water, and you have a tasty & refreshing mocktail for Dry Friday Happy Hour!

Bubbly Blackberry Mocktail

Makes 2 mocktails.

Ingredients

  • 10-12 Blackberries

  • 3-4 Fresh Basil Leaves

  • 3 Tbl Honey

  • 12 oz Lime or Plain Sparkling Water

Directions

  • In a small bowl or measuring cup, crush the blackberries, basil and honey until you have a paste.

  • Strain the syrup to remove all fruit & seeds.

  • Divide the syrup into 2 glasses.

  • Top with sparkling water & garish with more bail or berries.

  • Enjoy!
